Traffic Stop in Virden Leads to Drug Seizure

Last Friday evening, Virden RCMP conducted a traffic stop on Nelson Street, leading to the arrest of a 43-year-old man from the RM of Wallace-Woodworth.

Officers discovered illicit tobacco in the vehicle, prompting a search that uncovered 8 grams of crystal meth, 202 grams of cocaine, over $1,000 in cash, and drug-related paraphernalia.

Thomas Olson has been charged with drug trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime, and possession of unmarked tobacco.

He remains in custody.
