Keeseekoose First Nation Man Charged with Second Degree Murder Appears in Court Again

One of three people arrested in connection with a death on the Keeseekoose First Nation, has appeared in court again.

20-year-old Edgar Kakakaway Junior is charged with Second Degree Murder, and he’s been remanded in custody to October 8 in Kamsack. 

Two other people are accused of being an Accessory After the Fact to Murder.

In November of 2022, Kamsack RCMP were called to the Keeseekoose First Nation, where they found a 16-year-old Cote First Nation boy dead at the scene.
