A tragic end to the search for a missing man.

71-year-old Alec Zwozdesky was reported missing Wednesday (Sept. 25), after being last seen at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, on Victoria Avenue in Yorkton.

RCMP confirmed Friday night, that Zwozdesky was found dead Friday afternoon, in a rural area near Highway 16, west of Yorkton.

His family has been notified, and police continue to investigate the circumstances of his death, with the assistance of the Saskatchewan Coroner’s Service.
