The unbeaten Yorkton Terriers have strengthened their offensive lineup by completing a trade with the Weyburn Red Wings.

The team has added 20-year-old forward Keenan Ingram, enhancing their forward unit with both skill and experience.

In exchange, they have traded 2007-born forward prospect Ryder Woods and a player development fee. 

Due to the injury of Tate Schofer, Terriers’ Head Coach Emery Olauson highlighted the necessity of adding another seasoned forward.

 “Keenan possesses an elite shot and is a big body that can move well; we are looking forward to getting him acclimated to the offense”, Olauson said. 

Ingram, originally hailing from Calgary, recorded 20 goals and 25 assists for a total of 45 points last season, playing for the Kindersley Klippers and the Fort McMurray Oil Barons of the AJHL.

Acquired by the Red Wings in an offseason trade, he scored one goal in three games for Weyburn.

 On the other side of the deal, Ryder Woods, a Swift Current native, was a fourth-round pick by the Terriers in the 2023 SJHL draft. He has already scored two goals in two games this season with the Yorkton Kinsmen Maulers of the Saskatchewan Under-18 AAA Hockey League.

 Terriers fans can look forward to their next matchup this Sunday afternoon against the Humboldt Broncos. The game kicks off at 3:00 PM at the Westland Insurance Arena.
