Yorkton Terriers perfect record snapped after home loss to the Humboldt Broncos

The Yorkton Terriers’ impressive five-game winning streak to kick off their 2024/25 regular season came to an end on Sunday afternoon.

They suffered  a 7-4 defeat against the visiting Humboldt Broncos at the Westland Insurance Arena.

Brayden Skogstad made a significant impact, scoring two goals for the Broncos.

Other contributors included Jacob Strizzi, Ryder Knutson, Landen Stromme, Marik Mamic, and Gabriel Filion, each adding a goal.

 In goal for Humboldt, Edouard Gauthier showed a solid performance, making 16 saves from 20 shots to secure the win.

 For the Terriers, Vinak Junek, Keenan Ingram, Jye Zawatsky, and Tyler Palin found the back of the net.

Despite their efforts, the Terriers recorded their first loss of the season, bringing their record to 5-1-0.

Yorkton is looking to bounce back with upcoming games against the Nipawin Hawks on Friday night at home, followed by a visit to the Weyburn Red Wings on Saturday night for their third clash of the season.
