Jail Time for Man Who Fled From Dauphin RCMP

Guilty pleas have been entered by an Ebb & Flow First Nation man, arrested following a police chase on the reserve.

On August 28, Dauphin RCMP tried to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle seen traveling at a high rate of speed.

The vehicle driver refused to stop, and after police deployed a spike belt, the suspect fled on foot, but was eventually tracked down by a police dog.

33-year-old Sean Beaulieu admitted to Flight From Police and Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, and was sentenced to 118 days in jail, going forward.
