Man Accused of Murder on Keeseekoose First Nation Committed to Stand Trial

One of three people arrested in connection with a death on the Keeseekoose First Nation, has appeared in court again.

20-year-old Edgar Kakakaway Junior is charged with Second Degree Murder, and he’s been committed to stand trial in Yorkton Court of King’s Bench at a later date. 

Two other people have admitted to being an Accessory After the Fact to Murder.

In November of 2022, Kamsack RCMP were called to the Keeseekoose First Nation, where they found a 16-year-old Cote First Nation boy dead at the scene.
