There will be a race for the Mayor’s chair in next month’s Melville municipal election.

Kenneth Cherney, Maria Cole-Gayle, and Joe Kirwan, will all be seeking to replace the retiring Walter Streelasky.

However, only six people are running for the six councilor seats, so they’re all in by acclamation.

They are Linda Heshka, Lori Kraft, Rodney Kuciuk, Doug Mark, Andrew Rondeau, and Vince Thiessen.

Wednesday, November 13 is municipal election day.
