RCMP Investigating Fatal Vehicle-Pedestrian Collision North of Virden

A collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian near the Birdtail Sioux First Nation, north of Virden, turned fatal.
On Wednesday (July 31) Hamiota RCMP determined a southbound vehicle on Highway 83 hit a 17-year-old boy from the reserve, who was walking on the highway.
The teenager was pronounced dead, while the 43-year-old woman driving the vehicle and her 23-year-old male passenger were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
RCMP want to speak with the driver of a white truck who they believe stopped at the scene but didn’t stay.
