The Wolseley and District Sportplex is the second recipient of funding from “Project Cornerstone,” to support upgrades to the arena’s ice plant.

The $25-thousand grant was presented by representatives from Cornerstone Credit Union on Saturday, at the Wolseley Sportsman Dinner.

The money will help with Phase One of the project, which will see upgrades to the arena’s dehumidification system, while fundraising continues for Phase Two, which will see the installation of new ice plant equipment.

In all, Cornerstone Credit Union will be awarding $100-thousand in grants to projects that build, and improve facilities that enhance the quality of life in the communities it serves..
