New court dates for pair charged in Balcarres armed robbery

Two people charged in connection with an armed robbery in Balcarres, have appeared in court again.

On September 23, Mounties were notified of a robbery at a Balcarres business, in which they say two women entered the business, assaulted the employee with a golf club, and stole two bottles of liquor, before fleeing the scene, leaving the employee with non-life-threatening injuries.

Officers quickly located the suspect vehicle travelling near Balcarres, and it failed to stop for police, before turning into a field, where Mounties were able to box it in and arrest the suspects, one of whom allegedly threatened a police officer while being taken to the detachment.

19-year-old Serenity Fink of Balcarres and 38-year-old Isabelle Starr of Fort Qu’Appelle remain in custody on numerous charges, and Starr will be back in Fort Qu’Appelle Court on November 18, while Fink will return to court on November 21.
