We have a new community on board and a new charity to donate to with the GX94 Christmas Goodies Cookbook. Esterhazy Ford is a business that I have been spending a lot of time at lately. The crew is so much fun to hang out with and they are locally minded in their community. So it was an easy fit for Tara, Mike, and the crew to have me at Esterhazy Ford to sell this year’s GX94 Christmas Goodies cookbook.
Listeners from all over stopped by Esterhazy Ford to get their copy. I got to visit with a lot of listeners that I haven’t seen for a long time, and meet ones that I know by name through our GX94 text line but I’ve never met face to face. It was a really nice day. And because we sold the GX94 Christmas Goodies cookbook in Esterhazy we got to make a donation in that community this past week.
Lynette Griffith is with the Esterhazy and Area Christmas Hampers. This is a brand new contact and charity for us at GX94 so it was so much fun to make the phone call and tell her about the donation we wanted to make.
Hearing her tell this story to Blake Friars from the GX94 News Department definitely brought a tear to my eye. I always say that making the donations during the holiday season from the proceeds from the GX94 Christmas Goodies is my favourite part, but it is so true. The fact that we were able to surprise them and give $1,000.00 to the Esterhazy and Area Christmas Hampers is a wonderful feeling. So again, a huge thank you goes out to Esterhazy Ford for being a sponsor of the GX94 Christmas Goodies cookbook and to YOU for being apart of it for another year.
Jenna Smith from our GX94 Sales Department presented the cheque to Lynette this past Friday. I hope this is the first of many more that we will be able to donate to the Esterhazy and Area Christmas Hampers. -Tonya Cherry-
