Two people are in custody and face charges after a traffic stop in Russell.
Around 1:15 PM on Tuesday, the officer spotted unstamped cigarettes in the passenger side door when speaking to the male driver.
That prompted a search of the vehicle, and additional illegal prescription drugs were located inside.
46-year-old Steven Jarvis was charged with Trafficking, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking, and Resisting a Peace Officer. The 36-year-old female faces two counts of trafficking.
The investigation is ongoing.
