One of two men wanted in death on White Bear First Nation arrested

One of two White Bear First Nation men charged in the death of a man on the reserve last week has been taken into custody.

Carlyle RCMP were called to a White Bear home early Tuesday morning, where they found the body of 33-year-old Talon Lonethunder, of Coronach.

22-year-old Jeremy Whitebear is charged with second degree murder, and on Saturday, he was arrested at a White Bear residence, and will make his first court appearance Monday in Estevan.

Mounties are still looking for 26-year-old Dwayne Maxie, who is charged with manslaughter, and is about six foot two inches tall, with brown eyes and black hair.  He also goes by the name “Georgie.”

Police say Maxie should not be approached, and ask anyone with information on his whereabouts to call 310-RCMP (7267), or Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers, at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
