The Saskatchewan Health Authority has pleaded guilty to a violation of the province’s Occupational Health and Safety Regulations.
On December 11 in Rose Valley Provincial Court, the Health Authority admitted that it failed to ensure that a ladder was designed, built, used and maintained safely, resulting in an injury to a worker.
The SHA received fines and surcharges totaling $75,000.
The charge dates back to an incident on May 11, 2023 in Kelvington, in which a worker fell from a stepladder and was seriously injured.
