A new court date has been set for a man charged following a shooting at an apartment complex in The Pas earlier this month.
On December 15, The Pas RCMP responded to a shooting at an apartment complex on Cathedral Avenue, and discovered a 42-year-old man in a stairwell with a gunshot wound to his lower body, and he was airlifted to a Winnipeg hospital, in critical but stable condition.
Witnesses reported two men leaving the scene, and a warrant was issued for 26-year-old Darcy Campbell, for Aggravated Assault and several firearm-related offences.
On Thursday, Campbell was arrested after being spotted re-entering the same apartment building where the incident occurred, and he made his first court appearance Friday in The Pas, where he was remanded in custody for his next appearance, on January 10.
