Traffic Stop in Dauphin Leads to Drug Bust

A woman was arrested in Dauphin after a traffic stop on January 4th.

RCMP stopped a vehicle on Main Street around 1:15 PM and found empty alcohol containers. The driver failed a breathalyzer test.

A search uncovered methamphetamine, cocaine, and prescription drugs.

The driver, 29-year-old Angel Chartrand, faces charges for impaired driving, possession of property obtained by crime, and trafficking. She also received tickets totaling over $1,400.

Her court date is pending, and the investigation continues.
