A trial has been held for a Sioux Valley Dakota Nation woman, charged with Second Degree Murder.

28-year-old Rennie Williams was in Brandon Court of King’s Bench yesterday (Thu), where she had her matter adjourned for closing arguments on March 10.

In December of 2022, Virden RCMP received a report of a stabbing at a home on the First Nation.

They found a 26-year-old woman with life-threatening injuries, and she was pronounced dead at the scene.
