RCMP Seizes Drugs and Firearms Near Keeseekoose First Nation

A routine RCMP response to a suspicious vehicle near Keeseekoose First Nation on January 15, 2025, led to a significant drug and weapons seizure.

Kamsack RCMP received the report at 5:35 p.m. and quickly located the vehicle parked on a grid road. Officers engaged their emergency lights and stopped the vehicle. Upon approaching, they recognized the driver, 27-year-old Cody Musqua, as a wanted individual under a warrant issued by Brandon Police Service.

During the stop, officers observed open alcohol and conducted a detailed search of the vehicle. This investigation uncovered 28 grams of cocaine, 23 grams of methamphetamine, a loaded shotgun, a knife, and a sum of cash.

Musqua, a resident of Keeseekoose First Nation, now faces 11 charges, including possession for trafficking purposes, impaired driving, and multiple firearms-related offenses.

Musqua appeared in Yorkton Provincial Court on January 16th
