Wesley Golden’s first SJHL goal just 1:46 into the third period was the game winner to help the Melville Millionaires to a 5-3 road win over the Battlefords North Stars on Thursday night.

William Forsberg led the way for the Millionaires with one goal, two assists while Jett Fogle, Brendan Olson and Devon Winder also scored.

Nikita Ivashchenko, Josh Knittig and Rylan Williams replied for the North Stars who got 28 saves from Justen Maric in the loss.

Mils netminder Nick Genette made 22 saves on 23 shots before he left with injury, and Ben Laurette earned the win stopping 19 of 21 shots to register the win.

The two teams will go right back at it on Friday night at the Access Communications Center. GX94 will broadcast the game with the pregame starting at 7:20 PM and puck drop at 7:30 PM.
