Sask Party Government Releases 2025-26 Budget

The Sask Party government unveiled its 2025-26 Provincial Budget this afternoon , introducing measures to keep Saskatchewan an affordable place to live, work, and do business.

Some key highlights include  tax changes under The Saskatchewan Affordability Act , delivering over $250 million in tax savings this year. It prioritizes affordability by reducing income taxes, cutting education property tax rates, and providing financial relief to seniors, families, caregivers, and first-time homebuyers.

Health care receives a record $15.7 billion investment to enhance access to primary, emergency, and mental health services, while Education funding increases by $130 million to support a new collective agreement aimed at improving class size and complexity.

Community safety sees a $2 billion boost, funding additional police officers and strengthened border security. Meanwhile, fiscal responsibility remains a key focus, with a $12 million surplus, a low debt-to-GDP ratio, and a strong credit rating.
