Manitoba Earmarks $$ To Clean Up Abandoned Mines

Significant investment to clean up orphaned and abandoned mines was announced by the Manitoba government. 50.7-million dollars will go towards accelerating the clean up of select orphaned and abandoned mines, and to create a long-term plan to care for the remediated sites. Environment Minister Jeff Wharton says the investment was planned for in Manitoba Budget 2022.
