Standing Buffalo F.N. man charged with Attempted Murder returns to court

A man charged following a serious assault on the Standing Buffalo First Nation, returned to Regina Court of Kings’s Bench yesterday (MON).

24-year-old Christopher Maple of the Standing Buffalo First Nation, is committed to stand trial by jury, on a charge of Attempted Murder, with the trial set to begin in April, though his next pretrial appearance will be on Friday (Mar. 24).

On June 22, 2021 Fort Qu’Appelle RCMP responded to a report of an injured woman at a home on the reserve.

She was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
