A Manslaughter charge has been laid against a 28-year-old Birdtail Sioux First Nation resident, in connection with a 2019 homicide.
On January 7th, 2019, at around 6 p.m., the Manitoba First Nations Police Service responded to a 911 call, from a home on the reserve, about an adult male in cardiac arrest.
However, officers found a 28-year-old man, from the Birdtail Sioux First Nation, dead from an apparent stab wound.
On Monday (Mar. 20), RCMP Major Crime Services charged 28-year-old Cherisse McKay, who was also remanded into custody.
