One person is dead following last (Thu) night’s collision 8 kilometres west of Springside on Highway 16.
Initial reports suggested 3 vehicles were involved, but only a semi and an SUV were a part of the crash.
The driver of the SUV was killed, while the driver of the semi-truck was transported to hospital with minor injuries, and has since been released.
The highway was closed until 6:30am this (Fri) morning.
The RCMP are now working to identify the lone occupant of the SUV, so they can notify next of kin.
