Priest Facing Sex-Related Charges Makes First Court Appearance

A 45-year-old Roman Catholic priest facing charges of Sexual Assault, Sexual Interference and Sexual Exploitation has had his first court appearance.

In December, Humboldt RCMP charged Anthony Tei Atter, the priest responsible for the parishes of St Gregory, St Ann and St Anthony, after receiving a report of multiple incidents of a sexual nature.

It’s alleged the incidents occurred between September 1st and November 4th of 2020.

Atter is due back in Humboldt Provincial Court on April 5th.
