Regina Man Wanted After Mistakenly Released From Remand

Authorities are searching for a Regina man who was mistakenly released from remand on March 9th, after appearing in Estevan Court of Queen’s Bench by video.

In a news release, the Ministry of Justice says the release of 49-year-old Codie Cardinal was the result of an administrative error, and was supposed to remain in custody for an appearance in Regina Court of Queen’s Bench on charges for conspiracy to commit a crime.

Cardinal is described as standing 5-feet 7-inches tall, 185 pounds with brown eyes, bald head and numerous tattoos.

He pled guilty to two Trafficking charges in October 2018, in connection to a drug trafficking investigation in the Carlyle area.

The public is advised to not approach Cardinal, and instead contact their local police service, local RCMP detachment or Crime Stoppers.
