Yorkton Fire Protective Services and the Salvation Army Food Bank are teaming up to “Extinguish Hunger,” with food drives, being held tomorrow (Thu) and Saturday.
Salvation Army Lieutenant Samuel Tim says that with children heading back to school next week, they want to ensure that kids get the nutrition they need, to build healthy bodies and healthy minds.
Fire trucks will be parked at Superstore from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. tomorrow (Thu), and at Save-On-Foods, at the Parkland Mall, from 11-3 on Saturday, and the public is invited to help fill them up with non-perishable food items.
