A trial date has been set for one of two Winnipeg residents, arrested in connection with the death of an Indian Head Mountie.
43-year-old Alphonse Traverse, who is charged with First Degree Murder, will stand trial by jury on March 11, 2024, in Regina Court of King’s Bench, and after appearing there on Friday (Mar. 24), his next pretrial appearance will be on April 21st.
His co-accused, 44-year-old Marlene Pagee is charged with Accessory After the Fact to Murder, and she will be back in Regina Provincial Court on Wednesday (Mar. 29).
On June 12th, 2021 in Wolseley, Constable Shelby Patton stopped a truck that had reportedly been stolen from Manitoba, and while Patton was out of his vehicle, the truck allegedly ran him over.
