One person is dead and another injured, following a two-vehicle crash yesterday (MON) morning, in the R.M. of Lakeshore.

Ste. Rose RCMP say it happened shortly after 8 a.m., on Highway 276, south of Rorketon, where a northbound pickup truck rear-ended a semi unit heading in the same direction.

The semi driver, a 54-year-old Newdale man, sustained minor injuries, while the lone occupant of the pickup truck, a 68-year-old Dauphin woman, whose name hasn’t been released, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation continues, but Mounties say road conditions and poor visibility appear to be factors in the incident.
