Alberta is the most recent province to declare a state of emergency due to the novel coronavirus pandemic.
Today Premier Jason Kenney called the situation “very serious”.
Bans of organized gatherings of more than 50 people have been issued.
Albertans are also banned from visiting a number of venues including: public recreation centres, casinos, bingo halls, bars, nightclubs, fitness centres, arenas, museums, and indoor children’s play centres.
