The City of Regina declares a local State of Emergency

Due to the growing COVID-19 pandemic, the City of Regina has declared a local state of emergency, which will remain in effect for seven days.
As part of the declaration, which was passed unanimously by Regina City Council on Friday (20th), gatherings will be limited to no more than five people, with the only exception being essential service providers.
All dining areas in restaurants and bars must close, however drive-thru, delivery and takeout services will be allowed.
Many retail stores, including toy and game, clothing, shoe, furniture, sporting and craft stores must close.
Dental clinics will also be closed, except to handle emergency procedures.
If the city wishes to extend its declaration beyond the seven-day period, permission must be granted by the province.
