A man who admitted his guilt, in connection with an incident at a residence in the R.M. of Kelsey, following a threat complaint, has been sentenced to jail time.
On November 15, 2021, a man told police he was inside the home, and was threatened by another man.
A search of the home turned up a firearm.
Last May, 58-year-old Anthony Ross, of the R.M. of Kelsey, admitted to Possession of a Weapon Without a Licence and Possession of a Weapon While Prohibited, with the remaining charges against him stayed by the Crown.
Last Friday (Mar. 31) in The Pas, Ross received a seven-month jail term and a lifetime weapons prohibition, and he was ordered to forfeit the firearm.
