The COVID-19 death toll in Canada has risen to 19

The number of COVID-19-related deaths in Canada has risen to 19.
Late Saturday, Ottawa had confirmed the national death toll at 13, but this morning, that number has risen to 19, an increase of almost 50% in less than a day.
As well, the number of confirmed cases across Canada is up to 1,302.
In a news conference today, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced Parliament will meet Tuesday (24th),  to discuss further strategies to deal with the growing COVID-19 pandemic.
Measures already announced include the closure of Canada’s borders to all but essential travel, and financial aid to assist families and businesses during this difficult period.
