For the first time in their 29 year existence, Fort Knox can call themselves league champions.
The Knox captured their first ever Prairie Junior Hockey League title on Thursday night after a 4-0 Game 6 win over the Saskatoon Westleys at the Rexentre, winning their Best of 7 series in six games.
Madden Wallis and Castor Bereziuk paced the offence for Knox with two powerplay goals in the first, while Jackson Miller turned aside 30 shots for the shutout.
The Westleys had two late powerplays in the third period but weren’t able to convert.
