Members of CUPE 5428 were left frustrated after the Town of Esterhazy refused to allow their concerns to be heard at a council meeting on April 10.
The union had submitted a formal request nearly a week earlier, but the Town only responded hours before the meeting to say the union would likely not be permitted to speak.
Despite being barred from presenting, CUPE 5428 members attended the meeting, where they were ignored by council members throughout the proceedings.
The forced vote concludes on Monday, April 14th. The union anticipates that the offer will be rejected and is calling on the Town of Esterhazy to return to the bargaining table in good faith.
