There’s nothing like the satisfaction of a freshly raked and mowed lawn, even if it means sporting a few blisters as battle scars! This weekend, I took on the yard with gusto, and boy, did it need some TLC. After what felt like an eternity under a cement-like blanket of snow mold, my lawn was finally ready for its spring awakening.
With the sun shining down, I decided it was the perfect day to lower the lawn mower and tackle that winter buildup. Watching the mower pull up all that leftover winter yuck was oddly satisfying. And can we talk about those new green bins in Yorkton? Absolute lifesavers! I managed to fill half a bin, and my lawn isn’t even that large.
Sure, there’s a chance of snow on the horizon—after all, it’s only April—but having the yard prepped feels amazing. Plus, I spotted some vibrant green grass peeking through the dead stuff, promising brighter days ahead.
