Justin Trudeau says the government is taking more steps to cushion the economic blow being dealt by the COVID-19 pandemic.
First, he says the government has boosted the coverage they’re offering for wages from 10 to 75%.
Secondly, the government is launching the Canada Emergency Small Business account.
Under the program, banks will offer to qualifying small and medium businesses $40 thousand loans, which will be guaranteed by the government, and interest free for the first year.
