Manitoba Aiming to Expand Vaccination Program to Include More Frontline Workers, People in High-Risk Communities

Manitoba is looking to expand its vaccination program, to include frontline workers such as police and firefighters, along with all adults aged 18 and up, in communities that are being more heavily affected by COVID-19.

Dr. Joss Reimer, the medical lead for the province’s Vaccine Implementation Task Force, expects to have more details next week, on which communities will be included, which workers will be eligible, and when people from these groups can book appointments.

Meanwhile, eligibility to be immunized at super-sites or pop-up clinics has been expanded to include Manitobans 57 and older, and First Nations residents 37 and up.
