Three local communities receive provincial funding for their municipal projects

The Saskatchewan government is putting 1-million dollars towards 23 new municipal projects as part of the Targeted Sector Support Initiative.

Through cost-shared grants, the funding will cover up to 75% of eligible project costs.

Locally, the town of Fort Qu’Appelle is receiving just under 67-thousand dollars to explore opportunities for improved and sustainable joint service delivery, the village of Sheho is receiving about 14-thousand dollars to conduct a feasibility study for water treatment options, and the town of Whitewood is getting 9-thousand dollars for its partnership project.
