The 15th annual Airwaves for Health Radiothon has wrapped up, and once again it was a huge success.
Ross Fisher, the executive director of the Health Foundation says the final total raised over the last two days was $174,775.
Fisher says he’s not surprised to see the generosity from the region.
“People realize that you have to chip in and do your part to support health-care not always reliant on the government for funding and this total shows the example of great our local people, businesses and organizations are.
Fisher adds that McDonalds in Yorkton donated $3700 from their mobile app and coffee campaign, while Legacy Co-op raised 5 thousand dollars from their “Fuel Up for the Health of It” initiative, and those totals were finalized on Wednesday.
