RCMP Major Crime Services and Manitoba First Nations Police Service are investigating a death over the long weekend.
At 7 p.m. Saturday (Apr. 11) a report was made of a shot fired at a home on the Waywayseecappo First Nation.
Officers located a 15-year-old girl suffering from a gun shot wound, and was taken to hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.
A 25-year-old man is currently in police custody.
