Manitoba is among the many provinces in Canada that has been seeing an uptick in COVID-19 activity.

The province identified 1-thousand 694 new cases of the virus this past week, up from 1-thousand 359 the previous week.

Severe outcomes due to the virus also increased, with 177 hospital admissions being announced, including 19 in ICU, and there were five more deaths.

To date, 82.8% of residents have been partially vaccinated from COVID-19, while 79.2% are fully vaccinated.
