The Manitoba government has announced that all Indigenous peoples in the province 18 years of age and older, are now eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
Health and Seniors Care Minister Heather Stefanson notes this expansion is for pop-up clinics, urban Indigenous clinics, or supersites that offer the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine.
Eligibility for the AstraZeneca vaccine, offered through pharmacies and medical clinics, remains at 40 and up, and people 30 to 39 years of age, with specific health conditions.
Starting at 11:45 this morning, Indigenous people in Manitoba can book a vaccine appointment, by calling 1-844-626-8222, or by going online to www.protectmb.ca.
