With India dealing with a major surge in COVID-19 case, including having the highest active case count in the world, Saskatchewan is sending extra ventilators to the struggling country.
100 ventilators, including 30 critical care and 70 sub-acute ventilators are being donated to assist India’s fight against the virus.
In a news release, Premier Scott Moe stated that with a excess supply of ventilators in Saskatchewan, the province is well positioned to provide humanitarian support to India during a time of great need.
Even with the donation, Saskatchewan still has an excess supply of over 600 critical care, sub-acute, and non-invasive ventilators.
