April 2021 One Of The Driest Months In Yorkton’s Recorded History

The dry trend continued across Saskatchewan for the month of April.
Environment Canada meteorologist Terri Lang says that’s despite the snowstorm that hit the Yorkton area between April 11th and 13th.
However, Yorkton saw 10.2 millimetres of water equivalent precipitation in April, which is only about 47 percent of the average, and marking the 19 driest year in 93 years of records.
Yorkton’s monthly mean temperature for April was 3.5 degrees, which is slightly above the average of 3.2 degrees.
