The 2023 Yorkton RCMP Bike Safety Rodeo launched today.

Constable Kimberly Flett states the bike rodeo is an important event in order to teach the kids bike safety.

Members of the Yorkton RCMP will be at all elementary schools in Yorkton, teaching Grade 3 students the rules of the road and how to bike around Yorkton safely.

The kids will also be fitted with a new helmet.

Mayor Mitch Hippsley states that it’s amazing to see different members of the community come together to make this annual event possible.

Sponsors includes Painted Hand Casino, Kinsmen Club of Yorkton, Yorkton Bowl Arena, SGI, Hometown Source For Sports, Canadian Tire and the Yorkton Fire Protective Services.

The bike rodeo runs until Thursday.
