A precautionary boil water advisory is in effect for the Town of Swan River until further notice.

A public notice says it is due to a power outage leading to a loss in water pressure in the community’s distribution system.

All water used for consumption, such as drinking, washing of fruits and vegetables and brushing teeth, should be brought to a boil for at least one minute beforehand.
