Canora has a New Mayor

The new Mayor of Canora is Jim Vewchar. He won Wednesday’s (Aug. 28) byelection with 314 votes. In second place was Michael Kwas with 179, Kerry Trask had 177 votes and Bill Reaume just 25. A new Mayor was necessary when Gina Rakochy resigned in June.
